Senior Workday HCM Consultant Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) project implementation or consulting. They should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, test, and implement enhancements across Workday modules: HCM, Compensation, Absence, Learning, Recruiting, Reporting, and Talent Management.
  • Manage and assign role-based security groups for access control.
  • Perform data uploads using EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder).

Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Act as the primary escalation point for advanced Workday-related queries.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support to HR and business users.
  • Deliver training and documentation to end-users and HR stakeholders.

Project Implementation & Optimization:

  • Lead or support Workday-related projects, including module rollouts and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and external vendors to align system capabilities with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and data governance standards.

Integration & Cross-System Management:

  • Manage integrations with other HR systems such as Kronos.
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 support for Kronos and coordinate with IT and vendors for issue resolution.

Key Skills:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HRIS project implementation or consulting.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build strong partnerships across departments.
