Capture Manager Job Description

The Capture Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business expansion by identifying and capturing new opportunities across both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop capture lifecycle strategies, including teaming, pricing, and proposal development.
  • Scan and evaluate market trends to identify potential opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for upcoming procurements.
  • Evaluate and qualify RFIs and RFPs, and drive the proposal process forward.
  • Create written proposals by collaboratively developing concepts, gathering information, writing drafts, and finalizing submissions.
  • Maintain reference databases for technical, management, and past performance.
  • Produce compliant and compelling content leveraging industry expertise.
  • Conduct after-action reviews for all contracts and document lessons learned.
  • Apply lessons learned to adjust capture techniques, strategies, and actions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Federal or State procurements with a focus on capture-related activities.
  • A proven track record of winning staffing and SOW-based proposals in the Public Sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft clear, logical, and persuasive documents.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with an understanding of cost and financials.
  • Knowledge of GSA and other Federal Schedules.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. English, Journalism, Communications).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize, lead, and manage multiple projects and tasks to successful completion.
  • Ability to meet planned and unplanned deadlines.
