CMDB Data Manager

A highly skilled CMDB data manager is required to lead our team in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of our Configuration Item (CI) database. This involves identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, establishing relationships between CIs to accurately reflect dependencies within our IT infrastructure, and performing data cleansing and deduplication activities.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in an IT industry, with a focus on ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, SAM, and HAM modules. Strong knowledge of data governance principles and practices is essential, as well as experience with data validation processes to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CMDB Data Management: Maintain the accuracy and completeness of CMDB data by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Establishing Relationships: Establish relationships between CIs to accurately reflect dependencies within the IT infrastructure.
  • Data Cleansing: Perform data cleansing and deduplication activities to improve data representation accuracy.
Discovery and Integration:
  • Configure and manage data discovery tools to automatically populate the CMDB with information from various IT systems.
  • Integrate CMDB data with other ServiceNow modules like Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
Asset Management:
  • Experience working with HAM | SAM applications.
  • Define HAM | SAM lifecycle and governance standards.
CSDM:
  • Hands-on experience with CSDM model and lifecycle.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to the CMDB.
  • Align with architect and engineering teams on delivery standards.
  • Provide training on ITOM discovery, OT Module, and SAM best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement CMDB and ITOM improvements.
