Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to manage and optimize our CassandraDB infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in database administration, with a strong understanding of CassandraDB architecture and design principles.

  • Manage and optimize CassandraDB database infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Monitor database performance and implement necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the deployment of database updates and patches to maintain system security and stability.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation including configuration settings and operational procedures.
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct regular database audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on CassandraDB best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical database systems.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other IT components.
  • Analyze database performance metrics and generate reports to inform decision-making processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in CassandraDB Administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies for large-scale database systems.
  • Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends.
  • A relevant certification in CassandraDB Administration or a related field.
  • The ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model with rotational shifts.
