Job Overview

The Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. This includes overseeing contractors, maintaining project performance goals, and coordinating work efforts to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

This critical position requires exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on:

  • Safety Management: Maintaining overall job site health, safety, and environment performance, ensuring contractors protect workers at the site.
  • Contract Administration: Supervising contractors and subcontractors, managing assigned portions of the project, and assisting in design deliverables for continuous construction.
  • Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for contractors, planning and chairing project safety meetings, investigating incidents, and reporting findings.
  • Estimating and Scheduling: Assisting with construction estimating, scheduling, reporting, cost control, measurement verification, and invoice certification for all work performed by contractors.
  • Leadership: Leading the Bill Certification process, resolving extra scope issues, enforcing Change Management, and requesting information (RFI) management process.
  • Support Functions: Assisting with development and review of construction-related information for proposals and business improvement activities, participating in constructability plans, and providing input for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

This individual must have a strong background in construction management, with experience in similar roles and responsibilities.
