Job Overview:

We seek an experienced Medical Department Head to provide clinical and administrative direction for our medical departments and services.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring statutory compliance (MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety etc)
  • Analyzing departmental mix and consultant needs
  • Reviewing tariff revision and clinical compensation patterns
  • Maintaining doctor performance monitoring and rationalization
  • Rationalizing surgical and medical charges
  • Monitoring clinician/clinical related quality assurance services
  • Coordinating medical Advisory Board and Clinical HOD Committee meetings
  • Reporting and communicating quality improvement initiatives and patient safety awareness
  • Recruiting consultants and induction process
  • Maintaining personnel files with relevant documents
  • Addressing clinical governance issues and taking necessary actions
  • Reviewing and formulating draft replies for medico legal cases
  • Auditing clinical billing codes
  • Providing clinical input on medico legal cases
  • Engaging with the team through training, performance management, feedback, coaching, and reward programs
  • Recommend junior clinical manpower for effective functioning
  • Evaluating and initiating academic activities like DNB/FNB/Fellowship/Training and certification Courses
  • Ensuring training on patient safety, service excellence initiatives, and healthcare communication
  • Preparing biomedical equipment capital expenditure budget
  • Oversight of medical records department and digitization efforts
  • Conducting awareness programs, campaigns, and drives for service excellence initiatives
  • Medical Audits and JCI/NABH Accreditation facilitation
