Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the reliability of our services by implementing observability solutions. If you have experience improving the performance of your services or products, we encourage you to apply.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective observability and improve system reliability. You will leverage your technical expertise in cloud operations, software development lifecycle, and Observability tools to help us achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Tackle complex development and automation challenges, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Evaluate scalability, performance, and resilience of our systems and processes.
  • Work with product development teams and other SRE teams to identify and resolve observability gaps.
  • Develop and implement automation that targets multiple environments and regions.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and give back to the community.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in distributed teams.
  • Passion for driving improvements in system reliability and performance.
  • Experience managing cloud services or operational knowledge of managing applications in cloud environments, ideally via automation.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language (Typescript, Python, Ruby, Bash).
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile preferred).
  • Observability experience (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) and SLI/SLO.
  • Working knowledge of containerization concepts (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshooting and incident response skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
  • Managing 3-tier application stacks.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Server configuration experience through Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres).
  • APM data analysis and performance bottleneck identification.
