Main Duties

As a F & B Host - Outlet, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of brand promise and providing exceptional guest service at all times.

You will provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

You will handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

You will maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

You will establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.

Operational

You will ensure that minimum brand standards have been implemented.

You will embrace all Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20.

You will respond to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.

You will work closely with other Outlet employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

You will work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of "We work through Teams".

You will maintain par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required.

You will seat, take orders and serve food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and procedures.

You will present menu, answer enquiries and make suggestions regarding food, beverage and service to restaurant guests.

You will clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course.

You will be fully conversant with all aspects of the Micros System.

You will compute bill and accept payment.

You will perform the function of cashier as required.

You will verify cash received ensuring only genuine money been collected.

You will verify all credit cards presented by guest before to validity of the card.

You will strictly adhere to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.

You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.

Personnel

You will support the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt's Values and Culture Characteristics.

You will attend and contribute to all training sessions and meetings as required.

You will exercise responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.

You will maintain strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations.

You will read the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.

You will ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

You will respond to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

You will carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
