Job Role: Supply Chain Specialist
The role of a Supply Chain Specialist is to identify, evaluate and select vendors/suppliers for materials, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a vendor database, evaluating supplier performance and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies.
- Coordinate with project, design and site teams to understand technical requirements.
- Maintain records of orders, dispatch details and logistics tracking.
- Support procurement planning, budgeting and inventory control for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes in the EPC/project/water industry.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials.
- Vendor development and supplier relationship management skills.
- Negotiation and cost optimization skills.
- ERP/procurement software knowledge preferred.
