Job Title: Assistant Vice President, HRO Operations

At Genpact, we seek a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Vice President, HRO Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the overall success of our HRO operations, focusing on continuous process improvements and adaptive changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery per customer expectation, meeting defined SLAs to guarantee customer satisfaction and noise-free operation in a critical environment.
  • Assess actual performance against standards, resolving whether the team is on target to reach goals and take corrective actions as vital.
  • Constantly work to find opportunities to drive value beyond SLAs and contractual terms, enabling the ability to drive value share and transformation opportunities.
  • Provide strategic thinking and leadership, emphasizing relationship management and communication at all levels within the organization. Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests.
  • Review delivery of payroll processing services, ensuring operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes, complying with relevant legislation.
  • Build and manage multi-disciplinary functions that can successfully operationalize the end-to-end engagement lifecycle of the Finance and Accounting operations.
  • Develop a strong understanding and proven abilities of executing Global Payroll industry standards and market landscape, determining the value proposition and competitive advantage for the shared service hub.
  • Actively work with the Payroll Leader and internal team members to identify and implement process standardization, simplification, and automation opportunities, and act as a mentor/support for the teams.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and coordinate the activities of the team.
  • Manage the application and monitoring of the Hub's methodology framework, principles, and delegations.
  • Understand the use of data to give insights to the business and be able to make decisions using data.
  • A reasonable level of Excel usage is necessary.
  • Leadership is a key skill required to deliver HRO objectives.
  • Strong people management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent education.
  • Relevant years of experience in operation in an outsourced environment of HRO domain and in-depth end-to-end process knowledge.
  • Project Management knowledge and Transition Exposure – Should have transitioned large client's relationship seamlessly.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing various HR operations for functional areas like Talent Acquisition, Employee Lifecycle management, Employee support center, Talent development, Compensation & Benefits processes.
  • Good understanding of different HR Processes and platforms Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft.
  • Experience on SuccessFactors HCM platform.
  • Excellent Stakeholder management and client interaction.
  • Comfortable and thrive in an ambiguous, high growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward and downward.

  • Ability to lead and build teams and build multiple internal partners.
  • Ability to build client partnership and work in cross-functional teams, especially with relationship and sales team.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Quality – Lean and six sigma knowledge and quality-driven person.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy, and flexibility.
  • Ability to handle multifaceted volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis.
  • Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement in order to develop succession plans for staff.
