Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle E-business Suite R12, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Oracle databases, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and backup/restore procedures.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and developers to resolve technical issues and improve database performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Databases
  1. Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune, and maintain Oracle E-business Suite R12 on 11g/12c Oracle databases.
  2. Implement disaster recovery procedures and provide level 1 support for the Production environment ERP.
  3. Analyze performance issues in the application, concurrent manager, and database tiers of E-Business Suite installations.
System Administration
  1. Collaborate with system and network administrators to ensure smooth system operation.
  2. Assist developers/testers in non-production instances.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years IT experience, with specific experiences in Oracle E-business R12 administration, Linux/Unix, PL/SQL coding.
  • Good knowledge of SQL with Performance Tuning skills.
  • Experience administering Oracle EBS Financials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communicational skills.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work some weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Able to analyze and resolve difficult technical issues quickly in a high-pressure environment.
