Job Title: Software Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software architect to join our team and define the software architecture of our product. This involves considering performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.

  • Software Framework Design: We need an expert in software framework design who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and automotive standards.
  • Software Component Development: The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive SoC platforms, implementing software solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
  • Performance Optimization: Our software needs to be optimized for real-time constraints and resource efficiency. We require someone who can conduct performance analysis and propose enhancements to meet automotive industry standards.
  • Intellectual Property: The successful candidate will support Intellectual Property activities and generate Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include contributing to design reviews across algorithm teams, developing algorithms with a view to implementing on embedded DSP platforms, researching, developing, benchmarking, testing, and documenting state-of-the-art computer vision and image processing algorithms for autonomous driving applications within assigned project teams.

Collaboration with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components is also essential. Ensuring that the software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems is crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require strong C, C++ programming skills or rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for Modeling. Experience in Doors is also beneficial, as well as a good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches. Excellent English language communication skills, a high level of innovation and motivation, excellent research experience, and experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet are all essential.

Additionally, the ability to enforce standards, support Engineering Discipline Design Review, manage the link with other Engineering disciplines, and capitalize the know-how through standardization, specifications, technical reports, processes, and guidelines is necessary.
