Job Title: Tax Professional

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled tax professional to join our team. This is a full-time position that involves working on US tax compliance, preparation, and advisory services across various client types.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare US personal (1040), corporate (1120), and trust income tax returns.
  • Tax Advisory: Apply US tax treaty provisions to cross-border tax transactions.
  • Sales Tax Filings: Assist with sales tax filings and registrations.
  • Tax Planning: Support tax planning initiatives for cross-border transactions.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and organize working papers for income tax filings.
  • Tax Audits: Aid in tax audits with the IRS, including client coordination and document preparation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff and partners on tax strategies and planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1–2 years' experience in preparing/reviewing 1040 and 1120 tax returns.
  • Public Accounting: Public accounting/tax experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong client communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master of Commerce preferred).
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Tech Skills: Experience with tax software (e.g., Prosystems, FX) is an asset.
  • Collaboration: Excellent team collaboration and multitasking ability.
