Senior Tax Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in US GAAP general accounting and tax preparation, with a strong attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of applicable USA tax codes, laws, and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tax returns, maintaining thorough tax records, and communicating tax strategy to key employees throughout the organization. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to technical production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review all types of U.S. Income Tax Returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Consult with clients on financial and tax planning matters.
  • Provide strategic and tactical tax advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Service multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports to clients.
  • Participate in training and development to enhance skills.
  • Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.
  • Advise management on tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends through professional publications.

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Master's Degree in Accounting with US Taxation experience.
  • Inter CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification).
  • Skilled at building client rapport and working relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Organizational skills to provide client reports within scheduled time frames.
  • Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Tax software (CCH Axcess, Lacerte, UltraTax etc) and US accounting systems Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.
