Job Summary:

As a key member of the Nasdaq team, the Strategic HR Business Partner will play a vital role in embedding corporate HR strategy and providing professional guidance and support to internal client groups. This role will ensure that human capital strategy and high-value HR processes are implemented successfully at the country and business-unit level, aligned to overall corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support client groups at the country and business unit level, providing expert guidance on HR initiatives and issues.
  • Design and implement plans for the roll-out and communication of company-wide programs and initiatives, such as workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change.
  • Equip HRBPs to partner with managers to prepare for and complete performance reviews and bonus and merit increase recommendations.
  • Attend key client group meetings to provide input into strategic and operating plans and budgets, promoting understanding of impacts to talent resources.
  • Guide other HRBPs to ensure that position, decision, and direction taken by HR remain customer-centric and business-focused.
  • Support or lead special projects as necessary.
  • Develop and motivate a team of HRBPs and HR Generalists through thought leadership and project team leadership.
  • Build, manage, and provide leadership to a team of professional staff, performing talent management and development decisions as needed.
  • Develop and establish functional strategy and tactics to ensure successful completion of work that meets or exceeds client and/or organizational expectations.
  • Manage resources and take accountability for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
  • Develop departmental/functional plans, including business unit and/or production priorities, to address resource and operational needs and challenges.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers internally and externally.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients, team members, colleagues, etc. on projects.
  • Participate in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to the organizational strategy.
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with internal and external teams to understand risks, priorities, etc. and ensure a successful end result.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline; specialized second degree or MBA is a plus or equivalent working experience.
  • Prior management experience is required.
