We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Edge Engineering team, driving innovation and excellence in our cutting-edge infrastructure.

The Edge team builds and operates the complex systems that resolve, route, and deliver traffic between our 1 billion members and the application layer, ensuring seamless interactions and maximum efficiency.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the health, performance, and capacity of our Internet-facing services, leveraging your expertise to drive continuous improvement and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Gain deep knowledge of our complex applications, identifying areas for optimization and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to roll out new product features and technologies, facilitating rapid iteration and constant growth.
  • Develop innovative tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale Linux environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or relevant practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with administration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux systems, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability.
  • 5+ years of experience coding in one or more programming languages like Rust, Go, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc., delivering robust and efficient solutions.
