Job Summary

As a Principal Engineer, you will contribute to the codebase by designing and developing scalable services. You'll collaborate with product management to envision future features and define solution architectures that align with business needs.

You will be responsible for guiding technical architecture and design, advocating for technology investments, and ensuring high-quality solutions. This includes participating in design reviews, providing feedback, and driving continuous improvement through architectural standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing modern services, collaborating on solution architectures, facilitating design discussions, and championing technology investments.

  • 15+ years of technical leadership experience with 5-10+ years in large-scale distributed system development
  • Experience driving engineering best practices through effective tool use and automation
  • Passion and expertise in building back-end services and APIs using modern architectures
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data structures, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and modern infrastructure operations
Technology Stack
  • Microsoft technologies: C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript & NestJS, Node.js
  • Microservices, event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or other event processing services
  • Modern UI frameworks: React.js, Angular
  • Cloud platforms (AWS preferred): EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, VPC
  • CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, PowerShell
