Senior Professional in Electrical Engineering

Are you looking for a challenging role that utilizes your electrical engineering expertise? We have an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to join our team.

This position will involve performing complex engineering assignments, collaborating with other professionals, and leading projects from start to finish. As a seasoned engineer, you will be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring the successful completion of tasks.

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in the rail industry. A Master's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification is required, along with a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in using software such as ETAP and AMTECH. Experience working with UK Network Rail and Railway Group Standards is also desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and tests
  • Gathering and correlating data using established procedures
  • Proposing approaches to solve new problems encountered
  • Identifying discrepancies in results

To succeed in this position, you must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferably)
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the rail industry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in using ETAP and AMTECH software
  • Experience working with UK Network Rail and Railway Group Standards (desirable)
