Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring vessel performance, supporting planned maintenance, contributing to repair/drydocking planning, and ensuring compliance with our Safety Management System and maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor technical and operational performance of assigned vessels
  • Be conversant with the Company's Safety Management System and actively participate in its implementation
  • Follow up on shipboard quality assurance system requirements as directed by the Manager - Technical and Marine
  • Contribute to the development and revision of technical procedures and manuals
  • Assist Technical Superintendents in planning repairs, dry-docking, and surveys
  • Support collection and analysis of maintenance data and downtime reports
  • Provide operational support to shipboard teams regarding technical issues, spare part follow-up, or regulatory updates

Required Skills and Qualifications:

~ 4 years of experience in the marine industry, preferably in a technical capacity

~ Familiarity with maritime regulations, technical ship operations, and purchasing processes

~ Working knowledge of planned maintenance systems (PMS), certification standards, and marine repair cycles

~ Good command of the English language

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
