Job Description

The primary role of an Equity-Focused Financial Analyst is to conduct extensive research and analysis on various equity investments, including Portfolio Management Schemes (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and Mutual Funds.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models, performing thorough due diligence, and providing insightful reports to support investment decisions.

  • Conduct fundamental analysis using company financials, industry trends, sectoral analysis, and valuation techniques.
  • Develop initiation and earnings update reports, sector briefs, and investment recommendations that cater to the needs of investors.
  • Monitor and analyze fund performance, net asset value (NAV) movements, portfolio composition, and manager strategy to provide informed insights.
  • Engage with fund managers to gather valuable insights and maintain regular updates on market trends and fund performance.
  • Design and implement rigorous financial models (Discounted Cash Flow, projections) to test assumptions and perform scenario analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial due diligence for new funds or investment proposals to ensure alignment with investment objectives.
  • Prepare investor-ready presentations, research dashboards, and detailed write-ups to effectively communicate complex data and findings.
  • Deliver market commentary and fund performance summaries to stakeholders and investors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Possess certifications such as CFA, CA, MBA in Finance, or NISM certification for research professionals.
  • Have 3–8 years of experience in equity research and fund analysis, preferably with exposure to PMS, AIFs, or mutual funds.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, valuations, and the use of databases such as Probe42, MCA, NSE/BSE/SEBI website.
  • Exhibit strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities to effectively present complex data and findings.
