HVAC Service Technician

A leading HVAC service company is seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of these systems, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnostics of mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and recommending effective solutions.
  • Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjusting system controls to optimize performance and minimize energy consumption.
  • Testing and balancing air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Responding promptly to emergency service calls.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to use HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand varying weather conditions.
  • Degree or certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field.
