Job Title: Operations Associate

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Focus: As a member of the operations team, you will support global markets by processing transactions related to transfer agency, registrations, static updates, employee share plans, and settlement dealings.
  • You will work closely within the integrated value chain and global/international interfaces to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Capital Market Expertise: You must have in-depth knowledge of capital market products, equity, bonds, and transfer agency.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate as a positive team member, maintain good working relationships with colleagues, and provide support to other teams as needed.
  • Process Knowledge: Learn, maintain, and update process knowledge and Key Operating Procedures (KOP).
  • Respond to clients through agreed-upon modes and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain relevant systems and databases.
  • Assist in preparing client responses, presentations, and reporting as required.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Understand compliance requirements and adhere to legislative, procedural, industry, financial, and client-specific procedures to minimize risk and escalate non-adherence as needed.
  • Support and assist other team members as required.
  • Complete mandatory training by the required due date and participate in training for changes in procedures, company policy, values, cross-skilling, and tool/system updates.
  • Ensure individual targets and objectives are achieved.
  • Provide superior service, ensuring quality standards are met and minimizing rework.

Requirements:
  • 0-2 years' experience in Financial/Capital Markets, preferably in Transfer Agency operations with basic knowledge of Capital Markets/Financial Market products.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Banking-related disciplines from a reputable institution.
  • Demonstrated high levels of initiative, motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to meet demanding deadlines and work extended hours as needed.
  • Qualifications in Business/Financial Markets/Law/Securities Industry desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under supervision.
