Senior Physical Design Lead Engineer Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Physical Design Lead Engineer to join our company at ACL-Digital. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the physical design efforts of complex chip designs, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute all aspects of physical design, including floor planning, place and route, clock tree synthesis, clock distribution, extraction, timing closure, power and signal integrity analysis, and physical verification.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of synthesis, place and route, CTS, timing convergence, IR/EM checks, and signoff DRC/LVS closure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensure design meets specifications, and optimize performance.
  • Participate in all stages of the design, from floor planning to physical verification, and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of DRC, LVS, ERC, and PERC rule files for lower tech node layout verification.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in physical design, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in physical design, with a focus on complex chip designs.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight timelines.
  • Strong technical expertise in synthesis, place and route, CTS, timing convergence, IR/EM checks, and signoff DRC/LVS closure.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
