Job Overview

  • Safety First:
Main Responsibilities

Ensuring Site Safety Compliance: Supervise and enforce adherence to safety protocols, personal protective equipment usage, and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance. Regularly inspect the work site for potential hazards and take corrective actions as needed.

Environmental Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws regarding waste disposal, emissions, and water usage on solar sites. Identify areas for improvement and implement measures to minimize our ecological footprint.

Risk Assessments & Audits: Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them. Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to prevent accidents and injuries.

Training & Development: Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors. Provide training on relevant safety procedures and regulations to ensure they are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.

Incident Management: Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in the future. Maintain accurate records of incidents and provide timely reports to project managers and regulatory bodies.

Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards, and medical emergencies. Ensure that all employees and contractors are aware of their roles and responsibilities in case of an emergency.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, incidents, and safety equipment. Submit timely reports to project managers and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety:

Valid certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, Fire Safety, First Aid:

4–7 years of experience in solar, construction, or energy sectors:

Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans):

  • Lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment
  • Develop and implement effective safety procedures
  • Analyze incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and employee certifications
