Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

A key role in our organization is the Data Steward, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of our data assets.

The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset, who can work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide support for various data domains, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across the organization.
2. Make proactive suggestions regarding product usability, presentation, and data quality, enhancing overall user experience.
3. Continually learn and grow through formal and self-guided channels, gaining a deeper understanding of data management, industry trends, and best practices.
4. Responsible for the integrity of data, running day-to-day activities necessary to produce, validate, and deliver high-quality data to consuming functions and systems.
5. Identify, escalate, and resolve data issues proactively, minimizing their impact on business operations.
6. Perform initial triage/research for data issues and escalate/route as necessary, working closely with senior associates and subject matter experts.
7. Collaborate with data product owners to provide data analysis support for various development and research efforts, driving business value through data insights.
8. Analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders, focusing on what drives business performance and investigating areas that need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
9. Define, standardize, measure, and monitor data quality metrics, developing reports/dashboards that enable data quality health checks by senior leaders.
10. Provide reporting of start-of-day data quality checks and track issue resolution, ensuring continuous improvement in data quality.
11. Identify and maintain the data dictionary, aligning consumers to a standardized set of fields and definitions, promoting data governance and consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years relevant experience in data management or a related field.
• BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Natural curiosity, with a strong desire to learn, ask questions, and share ideas.
• Effectively manages multiple responsibilities, demonstrates initiative, and meets deadlines.
• Solid understanding of desktop tools and ability to leverage them for analytic and communication purposes.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and exercises independent judgment consistent with departmental goals.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and concise messaging.
• Advance level SQL and Excel skills required.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of data, analysis, and processes related to various asset classes and products.
• Technical and business background with experience in investments data; specifically, asset management and/or financial services industry data is a plus.
