The role of an Inventory Planning Assistant Manager is to oversee warehouse operations across India, ensuring the smooth distribution of materials to educational institutions. This position requires expertise in inventory control, supply chain management, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management
  1. Manage stock levels of uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules.
  2. Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements.
  3. Oversee cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory.
  4. Collaborate with procurement teams for replenishment planning.
  • Dispatch & Logistics Operations
  1. Plan and execute pan-India dispatches to 150 centers within defined timelines.
  2. Ensure accurate packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation.
  3. Negotiate with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery.
  4. Monitor shipment movement and resolve escalations.
  • Stakeholder Management
  1. Act as a single point of contact for teams requiring dispatch services.
  2. Maintain alignment with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules.
  3. Address escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages.
  • Process Compliance & Reporting
  1. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for warehouse and dispatch operations.
  2. Track Key Performance Indicators – dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence.
  3. Prepare Management Information Systems & dashboards for leadership (stock movement, pending orders, aging inventory).
  4. Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of pan-India logistics and dispatch planning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
  • Leadership and vendor management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in inventory management and dispatch operations.
  • Prior experience in pan-India distribution (educational sector/retail/e-commerce preferred).
