Procurement and Category Management Role

The Procurement and Category Management role is a vital position that involves overseeing the sourcing, management, and development of products across various categories. This includes identifying new vendors, negotiating rates, analyzing consumption patterns, and ensuring profitable growth for the assigned categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Sourcing and Management: Source new vendors, onboard them, schedule meetings, make purchases, ensure timely payments, and manage relationships with existing vendors.
  • Category Management: Manage the assigned category, select relevant products, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Data Analysis and Planning: Analyze consumption patterns, forecast sales, and plan product enhancements.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of officers/promoters, delegate tasks, and groom team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field (FMCG/Sales background) with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, planning, delegation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and related processes.
