We are seeking an experienced Marathi Translator to handle the translation of advertisements for a leading newspaper publication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating ad copy from English to Marathi while maintaining the original impact, tone, and brand messaging.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will translate advertisement content (print and digital) from English to Marathi, including commercial ads, classifieds, promotional content, and display ads. They will ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of translated advertisements. Adapt advertising copy to suit Marathi audience sensibilities without losing the intent or promotional appeal of the original ad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translation: Translate advertisement content (print and digital) from English to Marathi.
  • Cultural Adaptation: Ensure that the adapted advertising copy is culturally sensitive and appealing to the Marathi audience.
  • Proofreading: Review final copy before going to print to ensure error-free publication.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Advertising, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in translation, preferably with a focus on advertising or media.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi.
  • Familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google Docs); familiarity with ad layout tools is a plus.
