Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our team.

  • This role will involve working with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, as well as time series databases.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrable experience working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.
  • Providing guidance and support to Application Developers.
  • Assisting with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
  • Installing, tuning, implementing and upgrading DBMS installations.
  • Administering, managing and tuning databases.
  • Writing and deploying SQL patches.
  • Upgrading and improving application schema and data upgrades.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL.
  • Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON.
  • Good grasp of ETL concepts.
  • PostGIS proficiency and grasp of core geospatial concepts.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with time series databases.
  • Experience with message queuing, full text indexing, and other high performance data concepts.
