Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced structures, including Electric Storage Systems (ESS) and Battery Box Structures, that meet market requirements.
- Gather technical specifications and prepare technical requirements documents for components.
- Develop concepts and review them with cross-functional teams.
- Release products for concept, development, and industrialization phases.
- Collaborate with partners and suppliers to develop components.
- Address technical issues with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Define verification and validation needs and ensure designs meet business targets and requirements.
- Participate in global roadmaps and engineering initiatives.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in automotive structural components.
- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Holistic view of deliverables from other interfaces to ensure quality and readiness.
- Knowledge of chassis equipment packaging, routing, and development.
- Experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry, proficiency in CAD tools like CREO, and Volvo tools will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Agile working methodologies.
