Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop the TCMS (Train Control Management System) for locomotive, metro & semi high speed railway projects.
  • Lead as a TCMS interface for different customers, teams on technical/process issues.
  • Provide input and recommend changes to new and existing product designs.
  • Lead the TCMS related activities for different projects, conducting project reviews within team and ensures on time delivery.
  • Continually recommends improvements in all areas related to standards, products.
  • Provides various TCMS trainings/guidance to the team, also supports customer meetings/approvals for the TCMS topics.
  • Realizing Bill of Material, TCMS architecture and documents for various projects.
  • Deriving the design of the products considering project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.).
  • Analyzing change request impacts on assigned zone and applying change if request accepted.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in electrical /Electronics/Instrumentation/Controls engineering.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in TCMS Engineering preferably applied to Railway products.
  • Programming experiences in IEC 61131 (preferably railway applications for SIL0 & SIL2).
  • Good Application knowledge of three phase electric locomotives, propulsion converter, Auxiliary converters, Communication Protocols such as CAN, MVB, WTB, TRDP, Dual-homing, Ethernet.
  • Working Experience on TCMS equipment: DDU, VCU, WTB gateways, ECS, TRS, On board signaling systems like ATC, TCAS etc.
  • Ability to convert the function description to SRS and mathematical/logic solution.
  • Good understanding and design experience of train level electrical schematics and interfaces to various subsystems.
