Job Opportunity: Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, implement, and maintain our database systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade databases to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage database security, user roles, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Perform regular backups, recovery, and disaster planning to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain replication to ensure data consistency.
  • Configure and troubleshoot High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Identify and resolve slow queries, deadlocks, and bottlenecks to improve system efficiency.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL configuration for better performance.
  • Provide 24/7 support for critical production issues and diagnose root causes.
  • Document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for outages to improve future prevention.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of administration experience in production environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with backup tools and Linux/Unix systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and PostgreSQL extensions.
  • Knowledge of other databases and cloud platforms.
  • Cloud certifications and experience with Terraform or Kubernetes.
