About this Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Track Alignment Specialist.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the preliminary design of rail track infrastructure projects, including designing horizontal and vertical track centre line alignment, preparing points and crossings based on operational concepts, and creating standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per Schedule of Design (SOD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing Horizontal and Vertical Track Centre Line Alignment
  • Preparation of Points and Crossings based on concept of operation
  • Creation and implementation of standard working procedures ensuring work execution as per SOD
  • Analysis of as-built components with tolerance to precede construction based on redesign with original tender design, suggesting suitable solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction in terms of quality standards
  • Planning and coordination of day-to-day activities involved in Rail Track Design & Infrastructure Development project
  • Extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in Elevated Sections
  • Good understanding of Rail Design software for Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drainage Systems
  • Quality checks/assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions
  • Site visits for interface monitoring purpose to ensure construction activity and site condition
  • Collaboration with entire interface team like Geotech, Structure, Signal, Architecture, Utility, Traction, Rolling Stock, and Multi-Model Integration

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Minimum total experience of 10 years, out of which 5 years experience should be in relevant experience in Track Alignment of Metro projects
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences
  • Problem-solving skills, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and ability to influence without authority
