Research Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes
  • Track SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs
  • Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues
  • Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports
  • Collaborate with analytical teams as needed
  • Provide input on intellectual property activities

Requirements:

  • Strong background in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in chromatography, spectroscopic analysis, and purification techniques
  • Effective oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills
  • Familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder)
