Migrate Node.js Microservices to Java Spring Boot

We are seeking a skilled and proactive engineer to lead the migration of existing microservices from a Node.js architecture to Java Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both ecosystems and a strong understanding of microservices design, API development, and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing existing Node.js microservices and identifying migration paths to Java Spring Boot
  • Designing and implementing equivalent services in Spring Boot, ensuring feature parity and performance optimization
  • Refactoring and modularizing code for scalability, maintainability, and testability
  • Collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD integration and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Conducting unit, integration, and performance testing to validate migrated services
  • Documenting migration strategy, architecture decisions, and implementation details

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), experience in Node.js (Express), and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other databases used in both stacks is also required. Additionally, experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service orchestration is essential.

Requirements include:

  • Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot)
  • Experience in Node.js (Express)
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other databases used in both stacks
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service orchestration

The successful candidate will be able to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption. Experience in large-scale system migrations or modernization projects is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies is an asset.
