Software Development Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional backend software developer to assume a key role in our team. This crucial position will focus on migrating critical functionality from legacy code to modern, event-driven architecture using microservices.

As a vital member of the team, your primary responsibility will be to deconstruct legacy code that handles essential integrations and re-implement it as resilient and scalable services. You will be instrumental in modernizing our event-handling stack, moving away from centralized systems to distributed ones built on cloud-native technologies.

The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer who thrives on understanding complex systems, takes full ownership of their work from development to production, and is excited to leverage modern tools to accelerate migration efforts.

Technologies we use include Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Node.js, GraphQL, React, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Your Responsibilities

  • Design & Develop: Architect and build high-performance, scalable microservices.
  • Legacy Code Migration: Analyze existing code, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to a new stack.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Decommission legacy systems and implement a modern event-driven system using cloud-native technologies.
  • Cloud-Native Solutions: Build and deploy services using GCP technologies.
  • Code Quality & Deployment: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • System Analysis: Go beyond user stories to develop a deep understanding of the entire system.
  • AI-Powered Migration: Utilize AI-based tools to assist in the analysis, translation, and refactoring of legacy code.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development with enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), including reading, understanding, and reverse-engineering legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, specifically with Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
