Assistant Manager

Job Description:
The role of Assistant Manager at Diageo is to support the Senior Customer Marketing Manager in delivering National Sales Volume and market share objectives. This involves the execution of customer marketing plans at an outlet level, ensuring effective brand communication, accurate monitoring and evaluation, promotion schemes, vendor management, capability building, and documentation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research with the sales team to evaluate and finalize outlets.
- Ensure installations and maintenance at vendor outlets, as well as acknowledgement and clearance of bills.
- Finalize beat mapping and ensure deployment of promotional elements and gifts at outlets.
- Develop and innovate signage elements, such as racks, main shop signage, and gondolas.
- Collate and update TSEs and TLs monthly scores in online and offline portals.
- Prepare and supervise contracts for rental outlets and obtain approval through the legal team.
- Ensure accurate documentation, supervision, and monitoring of challans, stock registers, bills, POs, GRAs, PR, and attendance of the sales team.
- Plan and execute POSMs, display units, and shelf shares for branding and merchandising as per contract.
Brand Communication and Visibility:
Assist in developing brand communication options at various channels as per brand imperatives. Coordinate with vendors to oversee execution of signage in the state. Execute agreed visibility strategy and track and monitor visibility execution.
Budget Management:
Coordinate with the manpower agency for various activities, such as claim settlement. Ensure accurate spend of budgets at the state level.
Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor and report performance to the Customer Marketing Manager and support in defining actionable learning for improvement. Provide feedback to the regional marketing team and sales team for improvement based on competitor analysis and performance.
Training and Development:
Responsible for training and development of the third-party execution force through on-the-job training and scheduled training calendar. Induct and train promoters as per incentive schemes. Ensure the sales team is aligned to marketing activity and standards through regular communication and formal meetings.
