Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Deputy General Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our team and take on new challenges.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Control, with a proven track record of meeting EHS protocols and regulatory norms.
  • A key responsibility of this role will be to ensure Quality Control of SCF, Durgapur products as per QC acceptance criteria and PDS.
  • The Deputy General Manager will also be responsible for maintaining KQI2/monthly rejection within targeted limits, conducting RCA, and implementing corrective action.
  • This position will involve cost reduction under F5 projects, maximising reclaim material consumption, and subsequent monitoring of product performance.
  • Another critical aspect of this role will be revenue increase by consuming plant Inventory of old redundant Finished Goods & raw materials.
  • The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to facilitate discussions and prepare presentations.
  • Additional responsibilities include visiting customer sites to attend customer complaints and understand practical applications of products, handling third-party inspections, conducting trials for development of new products & improvement of existing products.
  • The Deputy General Manager will also be responsible for improvement in process control to get consistent quality intermediate & final products.
  • Evaluation of new raw materials from existing / new suppliers received from SCM will also be a key task.
  • Administration of SCF, Durgapur lab, upkeep and timely calibration / AMC of all Lab Equipments, testing & timely reporting of Interlab and R&D samples, and meeting the ISO norms and reporting daily testing result will be other important responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in the Steel Casting Fluxes industry.
  • A B.Tech/M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with MS-Office/GSuites.
