Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Management Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining databases, with expertise in installing, upgrading and migrating SQL Servers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring high availability/disaster recovery solutions, setting up automated alerts and troubleshooting locking issues. Additionally, they will work closely with application developers to test, configure and optimize servers based on application demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade and migrate SQL Servers
  • Configure High Availability/Disaster Recovery Solutions
  • Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking and lock timeouts
  • Work with application developers to test, configure and optimize servers
  • Set up automated alerts and notifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 6 years of experience in database management, with a strong understanding of SQL Server and related technologies. They should also have experience with scripting using Perl or PowerShell, as well as experience working with AWS/Azure.

  • Experience: 6+ years
  • SQL Server certifications (added advantage)
  • Scripting skills using Perl or PowerShell
  • Experience with AWS/Azure
