Job Description

The Solace Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of messaging systems, providing technical expertise, and managing Microsoft Exchange infrastructure. This is a full-time remote position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

This individual will be responsible for performing engineering, configuration, and administration activities for Solace messaging, collaborating with development teams to integrate Solace with microservices, APIs, and external platforms (Kafka, JMS, MQTT, etc.), and troubleshooting complex messaging issues including latency, throughput, and durability concerns.

They will also automate setup and monitoring processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc., advise on best practices for event modeling, governance, and topic taxonomy, and support enablement activities such as training and knowledge transfer for internal engineering and DevOps teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl, etc., and experience working with RedHat Linux. They should also be a quick learner of new technology and guidelines with a flexible, positive attitude and team player with independent decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Solace.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl, etc.
  • Platform RedHat Linux.
Nice to Have
  • TIBCO, IBM MQ, and IBM ACE.
  • EKS/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • AWS certifications on DevOps / SysOps / Architect track preferred.
