Senior Software Development Automation Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned software testing expert to take our automation capabilities to the next level. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and quality of our mobile applications, web platforms, and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) through cutting-edge automation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and optimize scalable test automation frameworks using Java for native mobile apps, web applications, and PWAs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive automated test suites, focusing on maximum test coverage and efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered tools and techniques into our testing workflows to enhance test case generation, defect prediction, visual regression testing, and overall automation speed.
- Enhance existing test automation frameworks, tools, and documentation to ensure they remain efficient, reliable, and user-friendly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to test engineering teams, helping troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Expand the capabilities of our automation framework to seamlessly support testing across various environments and develop automated component tests to validate individual component behavior.
- Create detailed, well-structured automation test plans and cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Apply innovative testing processes and methodologies for new and existing products to meet evolving needs.
- Set up and maintain test automation frameworks across multiple application platforms.
- Collaborate closely with deployment teams to identify and resolve system-level issues during the release process.
- Contribute to building and managing automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
Prior Experience- A minimum of 4-6 years of practical experience in software testing or a related field, with a strong focus on test automation.
- A deep understanding of automation testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining automation testing frameworks for Native Apps, Web applications, PWAs, and API Testing.
- Strong proficiency in using testing tools and technologies such as Jira, Git, Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, Cucumber, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrable familiarity and practical experience with AI-powered tools and techniques relevant to software testing.
- Solid experience as a Java Developer, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer, with strong coding skills in Java.
- Significant experience in automating various software layers, debugging applications, and optimizing their performance.
- Demonstrated ability to programmatically test own code and contribute to code quality.
- Minimum understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture, with the ability to apply these concepts in test environments.
- Proven experience working within Agile process management methodologies.
- Strong ability to evaluate and select appropriate automated testing tools and frameworks to address specific testing challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Working knowledge of Performance testing concepts and Linux/Unix commands for environment management and troubleshooting.
