Software Development Specialist

Job Overview:

  • As a Software Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging ETL processes using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • You will implement enhancements to existing ETL packages and provide project, system, and technical documentations.
  • The role requires the ability to understand complex concepts and processes quickly, with good time management and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL processes using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Implement enhancements to existing ETL packages.
  • Provide project, system, and technical documentations.
  • Conduct analysis, design, and implementation of systems, applications, and databases.
  • Review and get design approvals from leads and stakeholders.
  • Report progress of work in a timely manner.
  • Participate in reviews of own work and implement review comments.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Ability to work in an agile team environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in procedures, functions, and packages in Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience in writing queries and knowledge on views, materialized views.
  • Should have experience in analytical functions, hierarchical queries, pivot, and unpivot.
  • Strong hands-on experience in query performance tuning, explain plan, hints, and parallel query.
  • Working experience in fact and dimension tables.
  • Expertise in external table, SQL loader, and also table partition, sub-partition, and indexing.
  • Knowledge on gathering tables stats and analyzing tables.

Skill Requirements:

  • Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Unix Linux Shell Scripting.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
