Job Title: System Operations Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Production Support Engineer in a leading company. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the smooth operation of production systems during night shifts and promptly respond to any incidents that may arise.
  • Execute End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate DC and DR failover activities to guarantee system availability and reliability.
  • Patch systems regularly to maintain the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including development, infrastructure, support teams, and business teams, to resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and share comprehensive periodic status reports detailing performance, incidents, and improvements made during the week.
  • Manage and administer Linux-based systems to optimize their performance, security, and availability.
  • Evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Work with software vendors and OEMs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with EOD/BOD job handling and managing DC, DR failover activities.
  • Familiarity with system patching processes and team coordination.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Understanding of database systems (DB2).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during night shifts.
  • Dedication to duties and responsibilities, taking initiative when needed.
  • Team building and leadership skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in handling financial critical system operations for Exchange, Clearing Corporation, banking industry, or similar organizations.
