Job Summary

This role involves leading a team of engineers and designers in the creation and implementation of solar projects. The Design Manager will oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants, ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, are cost-effective, and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Design and Compliance: Develop and review design plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to define project requirements and present design solutions and progress updates.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest innovations and technology trends in solar PV design and conduct feasibility studies and technical analysis.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure adherence to standards.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design and project management, and expertise in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Sketchup, and Helioscope.

Preferred Skills

The preferred candidate will have expertise in optimizing designs to meet client requirements and project demands, ability to address and demonstrate technical challenges, and strong understanding of electrical drawings and OEM supply documents.

About the Role

This role demands strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be able to conceptualize and design HT Evacuation infrastructure for utility scale solar projects.
