Role Summary

This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring that our wholesale banking segments and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are operating in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive credit audits of wholesale banking segments and SMEs to identify areas of risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or participate in business credit audits, overseeing a team of 2-4 auditors as needed to deliver high-quality audit reports within strict deadlines.
  • Ensure timely commencement and closure of audits, with thorough documentation of working papers to provide assurance on regulatory and control requirements.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality audit reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with concurrent auditors to guarantee the accuracy and effectiveness of their work and ensure consistency across teams.
  • Monitor and address regulatory requirements, including RBI data submissions and Tranche III reporting to maintain compliance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and provide suggestions to line management to drive business growth.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Carry out thematic audits, review processes, and devise audit checklists to ensure quality and risk coverage.
  • Examine and report on developments in credit-related areas to provide assurance on regulatory and control requirements.
  • Test processes and procedures to identify potential pitfalls and bottlenecks, ensuring they are audited and resolved.
