Job Title: Senior Pastry Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pastry specialist to join our culinary team. As a senior pastry specialist, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry and dessert items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be assigned a specific station in the pastry galley where you will be responsible for managing various pastry and dessert production tasks.

In this role, you will also be required to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in the working areas and utensils, adhering to strict USPH rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality pastry and dessert items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Manage pastry and dessert production tasks at your assigned station
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to USPH guidelines
  • Assist with transporting food items from main stores to the pastry galley as needed
  • Set up pastry displays on buffets as required
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a pastry cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and USPH regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
