We are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Scientific Graphic Designer. This position involves combining scientific expertise with creative design skills to produce accurate and visually engaging materials.

The successful candidate will work with scientists, universities, and organizations worldwide to convert complex scientific ideas into engaging content and visuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop graphical abstracts summarizing scientific studies.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop storyboards outlining the visual narrative, aligning with client objectives.
  • Generate rough sketches illustrating initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers and clients.
  • Review peers' outputs to ensure they meet client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate or PhD degree in STEM fields (Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing and communicating science.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Experience in 3D designs using Blender is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of the scientific publishing landscape.
