Senior Medical Writer Job Description

This role involves creating high-quality scientific and medical content for pharmaceutical clients. As a senior medical writer, you will work closely with scientific leads to develop materials such as slides, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and infographics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop client-ready scientific and medical materials under the guidance of scientific leads.
  • Liaise with international pharmaceutical clients and internal stakeholders to build trusting relationships and understand their needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, authors, clients, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Attend workshops and seminars to enhance your skills and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Apply your scientific and creative knowledge to develop innovative medical communications initiatives in the digital space.
  • Evaluate client requirements, SOPs, style guides, and CACTUS' internal SOPs to ensure all materials comply.
  • Maintain current awareness of developments across therapeutic areas to make cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific writing or a relevant field.
  • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
  • Clear, concise, scientific writing style with a high level of attention to detail and excellent language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with clients.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences.
  • Basic knowledge of biostatistics.
  • Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities.
  • Very good working knowledge of MS Office.
