We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Senior Liaison Officer with over 15 years of experience in managing government relations, legal coordination, and regulatory affairs. The ideal candidate should have strong networking abilities with key stakeholders such as government departments, municipal authorities, legal professionals, and regulatory bodies.

The Senior Liaison Officer will be responsible for acting as the primary liaison between the company and various government departments, local authorities, and regulatory agencies. This includes facilitating the timely acquisition of all necessary project permissions, clearances, and NOCs (e.g., RERA, environmental, municipal, utility, fire, etc.).

Key responsibilities include liaising with town planning departments, land registration offices, and legal consultants to ensure accurate and compliant documentation. The successful candidate will also build and maintain effective professional relationships with government officials, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders.

A strong understanding of real estate regulations, zoning laws, land acquisition policies, and other relevant government procedures is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will proactively prepare and implement a structured liaison process, including timelines, documentation standards, and compliance checklists.

Regular reports will be submitted to senior management outlining liaison activities, risk factors, and the status of regulatory approvals. The Senior Liaison Officer will also maintain up-to-date records of all communications, applications, permits, and approvals for audit and review purposes.

Support will be provided to legal and project teams in addressing land disputes, title issues, or other compliance-related matters. Representation of the organization in official meetings, public hearings, and site inspections with authorities will also be required when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in liaison, government relations, or legal coordination roles.
  • Proven track record of working closely with BMC, Town Planning, Urban Development Authorities, Pollution Boards, and other government bodies.
  • Strong legal and regulatory knowledge applicable to real estate, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with government officials and legal professionals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive matters discreetly, and drive outcomes under tight timelines.
  • Fluent in English, Hindi, and local languages (e.g., Marathi).
