Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in guiding our clients' data modernization journey. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with companies that push the boundaries of innovation and create new products in emerging markets.

Your expertise will help our clients adopt cutting-edge data infrastructures and processing frameworks, unlocking their full potential through data-driven insights.

You will be the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the modernization of their data architectures, pipelines, and infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients on cloud-first strategies for critical data initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients on all aspects of Data Engineering
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support the modernization of client data strategies, encompassing infrastructure, collection, transmission, processing, and analytics
  • Mentor client teams to keep them abreast of the latest approaches, tools, and skills, ensuring continued success post-delivery
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification. Additionally, you should have experience in consulting or contracting roles within large data management and modernization programs.

Familiarity with SQL Servers, data engineering on platforms like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse is essential. Demonstrated expertise with Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture is also required.

A strong understanding of securing Azure environment, including RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center, is necessary. Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, and extensive experience using them in production environments is also required.

Proven experience as DBA in large-scale MS SQL environments deployed in Azure is an added advantage. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues are essential.

Proficiency in Scala or Python is required, along with knowledge of Linux administration and networking. Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates are also necessary.

Experience in enabling continuous delivery for development teams using scripted cloud provisioning and automated tooling is desirable. Experience working with Agile development methodologies tailored to specific needs is also required.

Sound business judgment and demonstrated leadership are essential for success in this role.
